Hotel Introduction

　　Chongqing Yuzhou Hotel was established in 1958 and is a public institution under the Chongqing Municipal Administration of Government Affairs (Chongqing Municipal Government Reception Service Center). It is operated by Chongqing Tianyi Holding Group and undertakes both reception services and external business operations. The hotel is also Chongqing’s only “State Guesthouse,” a Chinese Five-Leaf Green Hotel, a vice-director unit of the China Urban Government Hotel Alliance, and the president unit of the Chongqing Hotel Industry Association.
　　Since its establishment, the guesthouse was initially known as “Post Office Box 2008.” In 1958, it was renamed Panjiaping Guesthouse under the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Committee. Over the years, its name has been changed several times to reflect the characteristics of different historical periods. In 1980, it was renamed Chongqing Service Bureau Yuzhou Guesthouse; in 1982, it was renamed Chongqing Yuzhou Guesthouse and has retained that name ever since. It has hosted numerous distinguished guests, including veteran proletarian revolutionaries such as Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping, and Chen Yi, as well as Party and state leaders including Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Hu Jintao, and Wen Jiabao. The guesthouse has also welcomed former and current foreign dignitaries and international friends, including French President Hollande, Cambodian Prince Sihanouk, Singaporean Prime Ministers Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong, Australian Prime Minister Howard, and U.S. Secretary of State Kissinger.

　　The hotel covers an area of 500 mu and is divided into two main zones: the "Official & Business Zone" and "One Hall, Two Areas." The Official Zone consists of six villa-style single-story buildings with complete supporting facilities. It offers 146 guest rooms of various types, 12 conference halls, and 14 banquet and buffet restaurants. Additional amenities include a multi-functional cinema, a billiards room, a ping-pong court, a gym, and beauty and hairdressing salons. The Business Zone underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2011 and was officially put into use in 2015. It comprises 10 multi-story buildings that have been newly constructed to provide 400 guest rooms, a banquet center accommodating up to 1,000 people, a convention center also capable of hosting 1,000 people, a multi-purpose hall spanning over 3,800 square meters, and a comprehensive wellness center integrating indoor heated swimming pool, fitness facilities, beauty services, and health care. The hotel boasts more than 20 well-equipped meeting rooms ranging from mid-to-high-end, as well as first-class Chinese restaurants, hot pot dining areas, and tea houses, all designed to meet the diverse needs of guests at every level and provide comprehensive, attentive service.
