——The preliminary round of the first Chongqing Municipal Government Affairs Service and Support Skills Competition, catering category, was successfully held at Yuzhou Hotel.

       

On October 20, the preliminary round of the “1st Chongqing Municipal Government Affairs Service and Support Skills Competition—Catering Category,” hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Administration of Government Affairs and organized by Yuzhou Hotel, was successfully held. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and themed “Upholding the Spirit of Craftsmanship and Enhancing Service Quality,” this competition aims to comprehensively train the workforce and promote high-quality development of government affairs work in the new era. Competitors from six organizations—Yuzhou Hotel, Logistics Service Center, Grand Hall Management Office, Municipal Government Affairs Management Service Center, Oriental Huayuan Hotel, and Plaza Hotel—participated in the preliminary round. Guo Yongxiang, Deputy Director of the Bureau’s Asset Management Division, and his team provided guidance throughout the entire competition. Representatives from Tianyi Holding Group, the Automotive Team, and Jin Hong Jin Yi Service Center also attended the event to observe the competition firsthand.

This competition features three events: knife skills, Chinese culinary arts, and Chinese banquet table setting. Among these: knife skills... Among the 15 contestants, 14 competed in Chinese culinary arts, and 12 participated in Chinese banquet table setting. At the competition venue, the knife skills contestants, armed with their knives as “weapons,” effortlessly showcased their professional charm thanks to years of practical experience. With their exquisite knife work, they demonstrated superb craftsmanship that left the audience truly impressed.

 

The Chinese cuisine team’s contestants meticulously select high-quality ingredients and carefully craft their dishes, skillfully stir-frying, deep-frying, and braising to create stunningly delicious masterpieces.

 

The contestants in the Chinese banquet table-setting competition were appropriately dressed, with clean and well-groomed faces, full of energy, highly skilled, and performed their movements gracefully and elegantly. Their creations demonstrated profound artistic intent.

 

The competition judges adhere to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness, and approach each entry with a high level of expertise and a professional attitude.
